Christmas in Decatur, Georgia

It is finally here! Today is Christmas Eve and we are heading up to Decatur, Georgia to spend Christmas with mom's son and his girlfriend. Like our last road trip in October, mom had to deal with some weather issues. First it was freezing rain, then torrential downpours. Mom was very happy when we arrived.

This is her son's Christmas tree, it has lots of presents around it.

Since it was so chilly there was a lot of firewood to help keep us warm.

Mom had gotten me a Christmas collar. It had lots of little bells on it and I didn't like it. Mom then cut all the bells off the red parts and then it wasn't so bad.

On Christmas morning mom showed me my stocking. Santa Paws found me! There were two new toys in my stocking but I wasn't feeling good. I had a bout of stress colitis. Mom thinks that maybe I got too excited on Christmas Eve when I got to meet Buddy.

This is Buddy. He belongs to the girlfriend of mom's son. When we meet on Christmas Eve I got so excited that I tried to hump him, several times. Mom's son put Buddy upstairs in their bedroom, then I tried to hump mom's son. That got me put in timeout. Mom fussed at me and said "ladies do not behave like that."

Later on Christmas morning mom's son took this photo of mom and I.

When we got home mom told me that Santa Paws had left another gift for me at our house. She said Santa knew I wouldn't need it in Georgia and he didn't want mom to have to pack it to bring home. Is it another toy? No, it was a raincoat. I hate the rain and I hate getting wet but this is ridiculous. Mom says I'll get used to it.

We have another road trip coming up in January. Mom says we're going to hike to a couple of waterfalls in North Carolina. I'm excited because I love hiking with mom.
