Santa Paws is Coming!


Mom has been bringing lots of storage totes home from mini storage and decorating the house. She said Christmas is coming and so is Santa Paws. She explained the whole thing to me but I liked the part about Santa Paws bringing me new toys on Christmas Day.

I never had a Christmas stocking before so mom bought me this one. When she read it to me I was shocked,,I didn't think I had been naughty. Mom laughed, gave me lots of kisses and told me I was the best girl ever, no I hadn't been naughty, but the stocking was just too cute to pass up.



Mom's boss' daughter gave her this Advent Calendar for dogs. Mom explained it to me. What I really understand is the treats I get each day are super tasty.
                                                                                   
 

One day mom got all excited and told me that Santa Paws had dropped off an early Christmas gift for me. He heard that I wasn't feeling well (bronchitis) and since it was supposed to go down in the low 30s to upper 20s for a couple of nights he decided to bring me my windproof coat early. Mom was happy, I was not. 


One day mom came home with this big tree and she put it up near the front door. It smells nice.


Mom started digging through some of the totes and then began putting lights on the tree. This is interesting. I was watching her carefully, someone had to make sure she did a good job.  


Hey, mom, you missed a few spots!


After she was done decorating the tree we sat down together and admired it. I think mom did a good job. I like this Christmas stuff so far and can't wait to see what Santa Paws brings me.

A Spring Trip to Decatur, GA

Hi everyone, it's spring time and the weather is pretty nice, not too hot yet and no more frosts or freezes for awhile. Since mom's youngest grandchild was close to her first birthday mom thought it would be a great time for a road trip up to Decatur, Georgia to see the birthday girl, Annabelle, and her parents.  A couple of days before the trip, mom's son called to ask what time we would be arriving. Then he added that he had taken Sunday off to spend time with our mom. On Sunday, March 20th we were up at 4:00 am so we could be on the road early. We pulled out of our driveway at 5:30. Mom always adds extra time to our ETA to allow me to take potty walks. She's really good like that. I mean, I could hold it all day like I do when she's at work, but she's says if we're together there is no reason for me to have to hold it. Mom's Annual Birthday Trip 2022

 Hey everyone, it's Mea'Ola and I'm back. I know it's been a while since mom last posted, but her computer died and then every time she had enough money saved up to buy a new laptop, I had to go to the vet and there went all of mom's saved money. Now that I'm healthy and mom's back to normal she can get back to blogging, cooking and taking trips. So, back in June of 2022 mom booked her annual birthday trip, but this time she booked a large house so her daughter, her son in-law and their 3 children could join us. They also brought their dog which created some issues. But on with the story, as you might remember from previous posts, mom likes to take the backroads when possible. Mom's Birthday Trip 2023

Summertime is terribly hot and humid in Florida so mom always heads to the mountains. In 2022 the place she picked wasn't too far north of Atlanta, so it was not cool. In 2023 we went to Mount Airy, North Carolina, not far from the Virginia state line. It was not all cool as mom and I would have liked it to be, but it was better than Florida. Now, an important fact to know about Mount Airy, is it is famous for two things. First, it is the birthplace of Andy Griffith and the town was used as the town of Mayberry in the Andy Griffith Show. Secondly, it is home to the world's largest open air granite quarry. Anyway, mom found this pet friendly place named Lily's Place and the rate was very reasonable. The owners love dogs and your pets are welcome on the sofa and the bed.  Mom loved the sign when we first walked in.
