Riverside Arts Market
One of the things my mom likes to do, is to attend the Riverside Arts Market in downtown Jacksonville. Until the coronavirus hit it was open every single Saturday, year round. Mom took me one Saturday morning, it was a bit chilly with the wind off the river.
There were lots of people there. At first I was a little freaked out by all the people and most of them had their dogs with them also. Mom kept telling me it would be okay and that I was a good girl. We even stopped at one booth and got to sample a dog treat.
After a lap past all the vendors mom said we should walk along the river. The distance would be good for our training for the fall trip.
On the picture of the map below we started at the bridge at twelve o'clock and walked down to the bridge at about 2 o'clock. It was nice in the sunshine, when the wind wasn't so strong.
I liked to stop and look into the water along the way. Mom tried to get me to sit on a bench and take a photo of me with the river in the background but I wanted to go go and explore.
When we got down to the turnaround point we were on an overpass for some train tracks. There were lots of locks on the fence. I wanted to read them all but mom said we needed to head back.
When we got back to the starting point mom bought herself a beer and asked for a cup of ice for me. They didn't have any water. Mom took a picture of us. Sometimes I'm camera shy.
After the long walk I really enjoyed my cup of ice. After this virus thing is over I hope my mom takes me back for more treat samples.
